I did a disc brake conversion in the front, helped a lot. But still need a little more braking power. I will soon be converting the rear to disc as well. In the meantime I am looking at the Wilwood disc brake kit and wanted to see which kit you guys recommend from this page. Looks like the rotor size is the only thing different among them.

I used the Wilwood Master cylinder after swapping out the stock one three times. Night and Day.

I am sure the brake kits would be just as good.

They have a really good reputation as being one of the best.

Id think your money would be better spent on disc for the rear jmho.

sorry, should have mentioned what I have . . .

so it's a stock 8" with drums, I have granada disc conversion in the front. Stock master cylinder. I was thinking of rebuilding the front but I don't want it to be a waste of money. And we are building a new 9" for the rear and it will have disc brakes from CNC.

Yea we were thinking that with this setup I have now. But Bryant hooked me up with some Strange caliper brackets so I will order my calipers from CNC since I love their product line, their quality is unmatched and everything is made and assembled locally.

Is CNC any good? I'd never heard of them until the other day...(I was going to post the question, but forgot)

relatively inexpensive compared to a wilwood upgrade. If you choose, you can get the slotted and drilled rotors, the calipers are available as reman parts from most local parts stores and are between $15 and 45 ea depending where you get them, and get the steel braided brake lines. The lines themselves will make worlds of difference in brake feel. I had the Mav/Granada setup for a long time and when I added rear discs, that was the icing on the cake. You won't believe the difference. I would replace the pads, machine the rotors if you can, if the calipers aren't leaking or sticking, leave them, replace the lines with the SS braided ones and add rear discs and see what you think. You may find you don't need the $$ front brakes. The way you and Bryant fabricate stuff you may also look at the custom bracket I made to make the 99-04 Mustang front brake calipers work on the Granada spindles with crown vic rotors and drum hubs as cheaper alternative.
