no spark to coil

    alright so theres no spark going to the coil and my dad did this test where he connected a wire from the battery to the coil and still nothing happened so what could possibly be wrong?
    were lost :huh:

    Sparks doesn't go to the coil...it comes from the coil. :D
    Anyway sounds like bad points or condenser. Could be a bad coil or something grounding out or not getting a good ground. I take it that the engine spins when you turn the key?

    we bought a new coil cause thats what we thought it was but it turns out it wasnt, and yes engine spins
