I would still have a problem paying more than $700.00 for it, did you get a look at that "built" 302 lol

No I never even popped the hood. I did offer to buy the hood but couldn't talk him into it.

I think its a pretty decent price. Maybe drop down to like 2k, clean up the engine bay, tune it up and sell it.

    Rust Free, NOT!!

Man, that things a long way from rust free. The driver sides rusted from front to back, Fender, door, rocker, and quarter. I didn't want to focus on the rust in my pics because the owner was standing there with me. I think the old car is salvageable, but it'll take someone with allot of time and money to get-er-done.

I saw "850" on the drivers side of the windshield! That would be more appropriate to me. I don't get why folks think a car is worth thousands, just because it's old! The hood actually didn't look to bad! It may be the only really good part on the car!:biglaugh:

Yes the hood was in really good condition, only minor lip rust on it...I may up my offer on trying to get just the hood from him, I have a pretty good flat hood and some cash!!
I just believe HE thinks he has something special, built 302 (looks stock) 9" rear (it is an 8") and bucket seats (not original)...i'll say it like this, if the engine was rebuilt professionally, why was it not painted at the time? he says the seats are from a Mustang, and the supposed 9" looks just like my 8", not original door panels and shackles on the rear (possibly airshocks) this time if I go back up there I will drive my Grabber and show him what he needs to do to get the money he wants for it.....I only paid $1200.00 for mine when I bought it and it was in better condition than that one is.
I just called him and offered him $200.00 and a good flat hood and he said nope...he said "its a Grabber and I want it to have a Grabber hood on it" I said whats been done to the engine and he said he "had no clue but it's strong" lol he said someone offered him $300.00 for the hood.

They watch Barrett Jackson on TV.

I crack up over the craigslist ads for a pile of rust with tires, that say they've seen one like it go for "X" dollars on Barrett Jackson.
