I am back with no towing bill. That ride was not for the faint of heart. It seems to choke itself out as soon as it stops. then is hard to start after. I found that out in the middle of 4 lane traffic at rush hour
heheh. got it re-strarted and after a couple of those incidents, I made it home. I got points, plugs and wipers. I forgot fuel filter. I have to battery on charge now. Tomorrow I'll fool with it. It does seem to go good above 20 MPH. so a carb adj or re-build is in my future. All in all, I like it. Definitely got an approving look at a stop light.

    SCORE :)

Sounds like a sticky float??? Keeps dumping fuel when you come back to idle?

Tap the bowl with the handle of a screwdriver and try it again.

I've driven it a total of 1.2 miles. I do believe it's a carb problem. Tomorrow I hope to find out. I'll let you know

Think I would just rebuild the carb. Probably been sitting for a long time. Missed the post about you getting the car. Cool color!

Yep for the bit of time and money its likley due for a rebuild anyhow if sitting.

Those first rides sure are interesting. Many more and you'll get all the bugs out bit by bit.
    Have fun!!!!!

Speaking of bugs, I have vast quantities of ants living in the car. 2 colonies by the looks. some very tiny ones and some larger ones. Off to put in the Ant Bait.
