Hi, sorry i think this is in wrong tab and not maverick or comets but Im getting pretty desprate with the project and when i dig into it tomorrow i want to be able to get it running, hopefully you guys know fords! What im working on is a 83 ford f350 with a 400m motor. It has eletric ignition of course, and to my luck, some kid or very smart mechanic screwwed with the wireing really bad. Everything is spliced and has bare wires hanging everywhere. So the question is: What distributor can i use? Went to local junk yard, only could find electronic ignition ones, and also ran into the question, could i use a 351 or 360? i know i cant use windsors. Any info on this will help even if it just about wiring. Today after not finding one in junk yard i attempted to figure out this wireing deal but even the book for the motor and truck doesnt match the diagram at all and in to ways explains what whoever had this before was trying to do.
Dont know if anyone cares about this question but if anyone comes accross it a distributor from 351c - 400 - 429 - 460 all fit eachother.
