Maverick Stallion black is satin black

    Eric,, yes, have used it.. really close to the black when the car was brand spanking new. And that is the stuff I stated I would use to replicate it if I was wanting to restore a Stallion to as much like orginal as possible. The single stage satin that came on it was hard to care for. I used pledge on it to get water spots off and stuff. No way could any wax touch that stuff back then. The SEM stuff like Ray stated can have wax on it and not mess it up for life lol.
    The original satin, like flat was impossible to care for. I think that is why you seldom see anyone restoring a Stallion with the original style satin black. The 2 stage SEM in my opinion is the way to go and should allow people to restore a car and use it, care for it and be happy.
    And the pic of Frank's car above in the sunlite is really as close to original paint as I have seen.
