And I've done quite a bit in the past 2 months I've had the car, so I will post more pictures and stuff of my progress tomorrow.

    Progress so far...

The floors were really solid on this car, except for a few small areas that have been patched:

Got the Driver's side all finished:

    Starting on the Passenger side:

I also took out the rear axles and redrilled them for a 5-bolt pattern, and started cleaning up the rear break drum components.

I also got some nice tires and rims for cheap:

Do you have more before and after photos/ comments of the repairs you made at the top of the engine bay where the fenders mount? My wife's car has the same issue, just lookin to see how much trouble it's going to be to fix.

By the way- the satin white looks great!

    Thanks,
    Jim P.

I also had to repace some metal on the fender so I did that first. Then I just measured up the piece(and the holes) that needed to be replaced.

The hardest part was matching the radius towards the front of the car.
For that, I used another piece of metal to trace out the radius to make sure the fender would mount flush.

It's not too difficult, just a lot of trial and error to get it to fit right.

Hello from NEPA. Your car must be originally from southern PA or MD or VA. The floors are too nice to be from WB or Scranton areas. There's a couple more guys from around here with MAVCOMS. Good luck. Send and email if you need help finding local parts.

Yeah i bought the car from reading, but according to the tag on the door jam it was assembled in the St. Thomas Plant and the DSO is from Philly. i might be needing a few parts if this one guy I met at carlisle ever calls me back.

In the past couple days I have finished up the front end by fitting new rotors and calipers, i also removed all the brake and gas lines. Undercoated the whole underneath. All thats left to get it on the ground is to get new shocks and bend new lines.

One question though, when i drained the gas tank, the gas was black. :49:
    What could have caused that?
Also, what material are the moldings of the Maverick made of? I thought they might be aluminum, but I'm not sure.

Master cylinder and all brake and gas lines are on. Also have all four new shock absorbers installed. I finished painting the engine bay and also patched up the battery area. Just need to bleed the brakes, do a little more undercoating and pull a dent out of the rocker panel and I'll have it on the ground!

Anyone have an answer for me from my questions before?
