I saw a Mav at Nashville this aft. I left an MCG card nonthe windshield. There were sone VERY cool cars there. I'd say about 20% were Cameros Quite afew rat rods. a lot of corvettes. Lots of Mustangs. a smatering of oddball stuff. I saw what I think was a sable wagon with air suspension, almost sittping onthe ground if anyone gets a chance to go at Indianapolis or deteoit. I'd suggest ,GO. ti's a nice free afternoon show. lots of cars. Enjoy.
I unloaded in Nashville yesterday morning, so I got to meet a bunch of them between Nashville and Birmingham. Like was said, bunches of 67-69 Camaros, lot of Vettes, lot of 55-57 Chevys, some Nova's and Chevelles. I saw one Maverick, I think it was the one with the Toyota engine, ugly car IMHO. Ford was represented mostly by Mustangs, new and older. I did see a few Fairlanes and Torinos and early T Birds. As far as oddball cars, saw a late 40's or early 50's Nash, an Edsel, a couple of rat rods, and a few 60's Caddys. There were also some nice pre 48 street rods and some nice pickups. Maybe next time it's in the neighborhood I will be able to do a leg of the tour....
I didn't know that was going on until after work yesteday. I took a detour to avoid an accident on the interstate and drove past it as everyone was breaking up. I was so bummed. I could have went on my lunch hour. I didn't see the Mav from my car, but I did see a few GTOs and one 442.
I was there briefly in my '73 gold Mustang conv, then I went on to Ky. Lots of nice cars on the Tour. Returned to Fl today, 1600 miles round trip in a classic with no problems. Looking forward to heading to Ky again in July. Jim
I posted in another thread I started before I left on my trip titled road trip but I did long haul the PTwith my wife. Wow what a trip! I have finally recovered from two weeks on the road, 4500 miles on the Maverick and never missed a beat! I met a couple of Maverick owners this past week in different cities on the tour and more dtails in the other thread.
