I think I may have found a solution to the quarter window seal problem. Here is how my test fitting went. If all goes well, these may be available in the future. Sorry about the close-ups, I will try and get some more pictures with side by comparisons with the originals. All I had was my cell phone. Stay tuned! (y)

Yep! I have heard people have used those. And its another option for sure. Just thought I would try and find another option for the community.

I'm heading back to the shop this morning, I should have more pictures up this evening with the mitred corner and side-by-side comparisons. :drive:

Those look pretty good! Do they have a lip type seal, or a bulb type seal? Its a little hard to see in the pic.

Here is some more test fitting pictures. Don't mind the mitred corner, it was kinda quick and dirty and did not come out very well. The final version will be glued together like the original seals. I will also pull out one of my quarter windows and make sure it closes properly.

All the way around, from the outside. Looks good!

Inside tightest corner, in the rear. The trim wrinkles up, like the original.

The texture is slightly different. Looks like "larger" pebbles on the new one. The side profile dimensions are very close.

The seal side profile is also very close. I would assume that the original seal foam has shrunk a little bit.

The vinyl trim is also paint-able (according to the mfg), so it can be painted to match your interior. I have yet to test that, gotta order my medium blue interior paint and prep.

So far it looks to be very very close to the originals! Stay tuned for more info on painting and fitment with the quarter window installed. It's a shame I don't have a decent car to model them from, good thing Mav and Comet guys have good imaginations. :thumbs2:
