I can't post to the gallery since I have less than 10 posts so I'm posting them here for now. I don't know much about Mavericks, but as far as I know it's original almost everything (I found a receipt for a new antenae I think it was)

Passenger side has a few small dents, but overall I think it's in amazing shape for how old it is.

I wasn't a huge fan of the color at first, but it's definitely grown on me. She's not as clean as she could be she wasn't cleaned up since Monday, but I had to take some pictures for the insurance company so thought I would share.

    Real Nice.

Man, Thats a nice car. Congratulations for finding such a nice survivor. Somebody must have really loved that old car to keep it so nice all these years.

Wow ... I would believe 39K miles .... very clean.

With those plugs in the door jambs, it looks like it was Ziebarted.

How did you come to own this?

What town are you from? I grew up in the Itasca/Addison area.

Edit ... looked at the bill of sale ... maybe Sym-Tech is the rustproofing. Someone was waxing those door jambs, too.
Going by the sale date ... fairly early 73 car. Also, I don't see a "Fasten Seatbelt" light.

I sold the ex-fiance's ring  and decided to look for a new toy - a 1973 car since that's when I was born. I was checking Craigslist in the surrounding areas and that's where I found it. I had seen it was advertised on here after I bought it and joined the forum :)

The sym-tech is the rustproofing I still have the warranty card for that as well lol.

I'm originally from Crystal Lake until 3rd grade then Harvard until after high school and now i've been in Rockford for the last 10 years.

There is a fasten seatbelt light it buzzes at me all the time because I suck and getting the two belts to stay together and click in without readjusting 1000 times lol.

I even like the hubcaps the only thing I don't like is the bicycle tire width of the wheels and drumb brakes

I'm going to take it to a small car show here in a while and probably one next weekend as well.

Package shelf instead of a glovebox. VERY nice Maverick! 73 was the last year for a sensible sized bumper too.

I was wondering what the "Sym-Tech" was as well.

I wonder what the "Courtisy Discount" is?

Wow nice ride. We still use Sym-tech products at our dealer. Rust modules, paint seal, fab guard. None of it works but you get a half assed warranty with it I suppose.

A bit of varsol and a soft cloth will take all the extra wax right off the jambs etc. I'd come do it for you. Its making me CRAZY. LOL.

Nice car! The carpet would probably look new with some spray dye. I wonder if those dents could be removed by one of those "paintless dent repair" guys. Other than some freshening up here and there it looks like an excellent survivor. Congrats:thumbs2:

If you get sick of the seat belt buzzers, look under the dash, and clipped right to the bottom of the metal section, you should find 2 black boxes. One is for the seatbelt, the other is the headlight buzzer. You can just unplug them.

If you could, do me a favor. I need to know what screws held the kick panels in from the factory, what style/color screw was where...Thanks!

Nice car. The interior brings back memories of my 1973.

Thanks everyone it's lots of fun to have a car again. Got quite a few compliments at a small car show yesterday and by the ladies at stoplights while I was driving home lol.

Hahaha i'm going to wash it, remove the leftover wax job and rewax it this I needed to buy supplies. I still need to get some Wizards Mist. Anyone know which or if any common parts stores carry it? I tried auto zone and car quest with no luck.

DDB here's a pic of the passenger side kick panel for ya
