we actually talked about the train ride this year as a planned activity. I cannot remember why it wasnt used....thinking it was price.
I am sure that is the reason. I applaud everyone for trying to make the event an affordable vacation for all.
Man I'm jealous, we wanted to stay longer but we had already been in Kentucky 8 days and needed to get home, Somerset is an awesome town and the hospitality is second to none, glad you made it home safely and happy you had a good time.
I honestly dont think they could have made it more affordable, I actually came home with money to spare (dont tell my wife)
I'm hoping to be able to make it next year. I just got home, I've been out on ER's for a little over 3 weeks now. Makes it tough to try to do anything. No idea why it's been so crazy lately, but it has. it has to slow down soon...either it will, or I will lol. Can't keep going at the pace I've been setting for the last 2 or 3 years.
Ruth and I and the girls are planning on being there early next year also. Ruth has already been in touch with Tony about the rooms for next year. And she and Tiana and Talissa are already working on stuff for the kids. This is a great family vacation. Jack, you need to get a 2 car trailer to go along with the new crew cab.
did someone say "boat ride"??????? Tom it would be great to have you come, its been too long since E-town!
Uh-hmmmm....John that was Joplin, first year, but yes Tom it would be great to see you, Tammy and Zach again. Jay it would be great to meet you after talking to you on the phone those times.
Jack, Sorry to see the boat go. It was a blast. I'll never ride in anything like that again. Since there's a lot of water near Somerset, maybe you could just bring the boat and take everyone else for a ride. Like you did Ruth and I. She still talks about it too.
