I didnt catch the swap at first but then noticed the differences. I told dad, they couldn't have built those cars into 4x4's that quickly. they've sat the body's on jeep frames i figured :biglaugh:.
The Maverick won in my eyes,
    1.led the cattle
    2. hauled 3 x's more manure.
    3. was winning until catching fire

The show is awesome and even better now that they have had a Mav on it, even if it were modified to be a Mav-Ranchero, coolness.

Hmmm, only 21 posts so far... I would have expected 2 Mavericks on Top Gear to generate more buzz around here.

It's even sadder when people think Pinto,Nova, and Vega and think of me. Then I tell them...no MAVERICK!

I've never really watched American Top Gear before now, but I just might after this. This episode is full of quoteable gems about the maverick.

Oddly enough I heard about this on here and I watched this episode on "On Demand" had my son come and watch with me and as the episode ended and I turned the TV back to regular channel out of the "On Demand" menu what should be on??? The Same episode. LOL

Too bad they basically tore up 2 Mavericks for one episode of of a not so great TV show. Anyone that was paying attention could clearly tell that the Maverick that they used for the 4x4 was not the same Maverick they started out with. The color was different, the interior was totally different The grill was different. With the fact that I would say 90% of it was staged I wish they had let the Maverick win.

Waste of 2 good Mavericks in my opinion. The BMW should have been disqualified. The Mav and the little convertible at least tried to carry the load.
