Pretty hard to find but they do show up on eBay every now and then. Usually find them if you come across a set of the factory wheels.

    Thanks for the info.
I was hoping that they were a new aftermarket part.
    No such luck.

I am told that I have an eye for quality.
90% of the time I can always pick the most expensive item out of many.

I would guess that a perfect set of mags would start upwards of 1k.
Probably much cheaper if they need to be stripped and rechromed.

The wheels are somewhat easy to find, but if your car has disc brakes, you have to be careful to get the correct wheel. Mavericks rotors have a large hub, and required a larger hole than Mustangs. The center caps are always on Ebay, and Mustang ones are reproduced, not cheap, but you can get them.

I found the center caps on ebay.
A search for "Maverick center caps" pulled them right up.
They were OE so not completely pretty.
Can these old ones with pitting be repaired?
The ad says "aluminum", but I don't see how aluminum would get pitted.
They are chrome right? Everything cool from the 1970s was chromed as I recall.

    Here's a picture of them.
I just saved the picture for anybody else reading this in the future since the ebay link will disappear have long disappeared.

I bought 4 NOS ones a few years ago, off Ebay for $125....deal of a lifetime, NOS ones sell for that, for just one.

American Racing also makes a very similar looking wheel, I think its called the Ansen Sprint.

    wheel I'll be...

I really like how the 15 inch slotted mags look as compared to 14 inch.

Are there modern 15x7 slotted mag reproductions for sale that will fit the OEM screw-on Maverick center caps? I don't see that the Ansen Sprints will allow this. However, I can't see this particular wheel with enough detail to now for sure.

    yahooed my answer on google

apparently the new ansen sprints will not be set up for the 5 eared OEM maverick center.

But probably an experienced machinist could probably handle that fairly easily.

Here's a great article I found on mag wheels of the 60s and 70s.
