Divorce had put me on hold for several years now as well as not working so the Maverick project was put on hold. I have recently gotten my 1974 Mav up and running again and now my 16 year old daughter drives it. However, now that the old girl is driving again, things are starting to come up, as in problems. The driver's side door isn't opening well, its not opening at all now. lol, the window on said door is also having issues so I would rather just replace the door. The hood is also rusty and I would like to replace that with a Grabber hood, if I can find one. On the rear end the car is missing the quarter panel edge piece that curves around the tail-light. not sure what that part is called but its about a foot long and fell off the car. Anyone out there with some parts to sell? I see that most of you are in the mid-west, I am in So-Cal and not sure if these parts can be shipped. I think that's called...the quarter tip extensions. you are asking about a...Grabber hood. if you are planning a small bumper swap w/ Grabber spoiler, that tip is different. ...Frank...:Handshake
If it's the handle on the door that won't work, the rod might've just popped out and be causing window problems too... Welcome back! Good Luck!
Welcome back. I hear you about being gone for some time. I have had to put my '72 Grabber project on hold for the last couple of years. Someday I hope to get back to it, but have also had thoughts of listing it for sale to a good home. Either way, I do enjoy checking into this great site.
