1970 Maverick, 6 cyl auto, maroon/plaid interior, manual brakes/steering, new tires. This car is solid as a rock and the interior is perfect. Going to go through the brakes and fix a small hole in the gas tank it should be ready to drive :bananaman.

Very nice. Passenger chrome mirror? That's not too common either....

This car is completely bone stock with something like 50,000 miles or so on it. It still has the inspection stickers in the windshield from the early eighties.

I am having some problems locating a gas tank for it, but after a little research it seems like 70 was one of the only years that had the drop-in style tank? Its looking like we will just have to have this one cleaned and repaired...

Nice car! And yes that is a one year only tank. How big is the hole in it? And it is the leak on the drivers side bottom in the front half of the tank?

Looks like a nice car. Mine started leaking just recently. I drained the gas out of it, cleaned it off, and put some JB weld stick on it. Seems to be holding so far. :)

I love it! It looks like the sister Mav to my 70 that I bought off this forum 2 years ago.

    Awesome color combo.

Thank you. I think MM&F magazine is desperate for Readers Rides submissions :yup:

Maroon interiors seem to be pretty rare. I see those parts on ebay from time to time and nobody buys the stuff.

Ford never had a chrome mirror for the Maverick on the passenger side. Has to be off another car.
