Same master cylinder you have now will do. Back when I did a 4 disc conversion on a 67 Stang, I used a 71 Ford Custom manual disc M/C.

    I used the...stock drum/drum MC...on mine. being I had taller/bigger tires on the rear, I didn't use a...prop valve...:drive:

supposedly there is a residual pressure valve in the drum brake master cylinder that will cause excessive drag on disk brakes. i have never confirmed this and have seen plenty of rear disk brakes work fine with out changing the master cylinder. the other problem with using a drum master cylinder is that it has a small resivior that will empty pretty quickly as the pads wear out. joedirt posted a good part number for a disk disk master cylinder in his project build thread.

I use a '91 Ranger, with the fittings on the driver side of the mc. I also use a Wilwood distribution valve/prop valve/brake light module and it works great.

Mine is a '96+ Explorer/Ranger cylinder, without cruise. I used it because it came in a 4 disc application and it's available with a slightly larger (1") bore. I wouldn't recommend the large bore unless you have a booster, but if you do it's a nice upgrade.

...That being said, I also ran a Maverick disc/drum master cylinder for a long time and it worked fine. Only real difference I observed is the pedal feels better with the new one and the plastic reservoir doesn't leak around the top like the old one did.

I finally broke down and bought the Wilwood unit. I got tired of trying to make the stock one work. But it may have just been a bad master cylinder from the start. Works like a charm with the Wilwood though.

Using the original MC on mine since 2003. Works great.

Yes, I realize he revived an old thread, but this is still good information.

dmboshkov, I am using Wilwood 260-8555-P The P just means it is polished and a bit more expensive.
