We have a 74 Mav 250 car w/a C4 trans. The modulator has 2 ports one I know goes to the intake for a vacuum source like any car, but where does this small port go to??? I've been all thru the 74 shop manual & there is nothing about this anywhere, also the internet is no help either. Can I just stick a regular 1 port modulator in there since we're getting rid of all the 74 stock emission stuff anyway????

The rear (larger) port is the only one that you need. It connects directly to manifold vacuum. You can also replace the modulator with a green stripe modulator with only one port.

The secondary port was originally connected to the EGR vacuum to make the shift softer - the stock shift is soft enough.
