This is my new battery tray that a buddy made for me. He did an awsome job for sure. I made him a cardboard template of what was left of the origional, even the brace. I treated the rusted metal underneath with a few coats of POR15. Got the battery installed and got the Mav running again, good times. Just wanted to share with the group. :bananaman

Yes, that is the actual entire right side of a Mav on the wall of a local wrecking yard. Out of all the cars they could have used, it had to be a Mav. That same yard had a Comet for sale a few months ago, don't know what happened to it since though. It was a green coupe, no other details. It is good to have my Mav running again.

I think I've spotted that same Wall Mav.

Isn't that located just off the 101, between Monterey and San Jose?

Cool Craig.....and that's a great website you have!

Yeah...I just drove by that place last week, while going from Monterey, to San Jose. It's easy to miss if you aren't looking close...I did a double-take as I was merging onto the 101. :)

And sorry about the thread hi-jack: That IS a nice job on the Battery Tray...

You did a great job with the extra step of using POR 15. :thumbs2:
