    That looks pretty slick!

I have been tinkering with an idea for a console. Don't anyone blow a gasket, but I was thinking of a Chebby part... a console from a 68-72 Nova. Autometer makes a gauge add-on plate that mounts 4 round gauges, angled towards the driver. It changes the look enough that people might not notice that the General's parts stash has been robbed.

Sam; where are you purchasing the carpet from, and which make? I need to replace mine pretty soon, and from what I hear, the quality is all over the board, from good to bad. If yours works out, let me know. Take care,

    Earl,
    I purchased my carpet from:

    http://www.automotiveinteriors.com/

I called and spoke to a very nice lady who sent me several samples (free) in the color ranges I requested. She even had access to the stock colors for the particular year. After I decided, it was a simple matter of plugging the sample number into the form on the website and in less than a week I had my carpet. Funny, the box it came in says Auto Custom Carpets. Anyway, quality seems to be just fine - it has the jute mat on the undeside and a vinyl insert where your feet go on the driver's side, just like original. I haven't placed it in the car yet so I can't attest to fitment, but I plan to tackle that job this weekend so I'll keep you posted.

    Sam :)

Earl; cut pile. Tan. I'll take a pic if you like, it's spread out on my shop floor at the moment.

Here you go, Earl, as promised. Personally though, I would ask for samples first before you order. There are several shades of tan available.

Thanks, guys. The console came out better than I thought it would. Makes the car complete.
