No way!! ... My 72 Grabber has been in the family since 73. It was my Moms car, then mine when I turned 16.

I will never sell my 4 door. I've learned everything I can by restoring it and have good memories with it.
My other 2 door orange I like as well, but if the family really needed money or someone shot me a offer for what I've got in it, I may consider selling.

I don't know if I would or not. As car guys we know that we will never get out of them what we have in them. My 69.5 will never be sold, It will go to one of my boys. My 72 Grabber I am building........................ I don't know if I want one of the boys to have it if they are under 30. It will be way too much car for a young guy with not a lot of driving experience. As far as the rest of the ones I have around........................ They can go today, parts cars mostly. I have sold 2 in the last 6 months. I sold my 73 4dr 302 Comet to one of the kids at work and he loves the car like a good Maverick/Comet owner should. I am so glad he got it, I know he will take care of it. His dad wants it soooooooooooo bad, LOL. I keep telling him to get on the site but he has not showed up yet.
I get offers on my 69.5 daily at work, people come in the shop asking who owns the Maverick. My first reply is its not for sale, LOL. Then I get to hear all the stories about the "Factory" 302 4bbl 4 speed cars of their past.

Yep, I'd sell it. There are times I look at the work still ahead and think about it. Still so much rust repair and other things to do that I wonder if it's worth it.

I would never sell it unless a life or death situation comes by and still i would try and seek other options rather than sell it. I've already told my wife than if i die she has to bury me with it.

YES, in fact I have an offer on the table as I write this. Another Mav will come along, alltho I cant imagine it turning out as sweet as this one has; but in the meantime I have other projects that need finished and the funds from the sale will go to them.

I would for the right money I guess. But I did several improvements and I wouldn't do it again. I for some reason have been really coveting 03-04 Mach 1's and Cobra's. All those modern features like big Brembo's and high tech high RPM 4V V-8s make me salivate. Then I realize I don't need to sell one to have the other I can have both if I finish the Grabber and wait a year :) Plus the cure for the new car blues is laying two black stripes in my all paid off 72 Grabber :chirp:

But yeah. I suppose stupid money would get me to sell it.

I try not to put too much finality into anything. Right now, she's my baby. But in a few years, I may want to start a new rebuild, and feel I could let her go. Who knows!
