Either one of those cams seem like a good choice as long as you have the stall converter required. I don't know if you have ever driven a vehicle with a cam w/300 duration, that required a stall, and the vehicle not having a stall converter. But, it sure isn't an enjoyable ride through the stop lights.

I would not recommend using the Comp Thumper cams, I have talked with Comps techs and they say these cams are basically noise makers and have very narrow power bands.....

    The 35-254-4 looks decent.....

I have been looking a Lunati Cams recently, they have some real nice grinds..... I have used a couple of there cams in the past with very good results..... I think this would be a nice cam for your set up, both for having a nice thump to it and having a nice broad power range.....

Yep, your 347 is more like a 351 than a 302. The cam timing events are different for the longer stroke. A popular 302 cam that works well in strokers is the Comp XE274HR roller cam. Now would be a good time to convert to roller. I've seen these cams sell used for $125 - $150. 'Course the link bar lifter for your old block can get expensive. If you're set on staying flat tappet get a cam for a 351W.
