I just wanted to share with everyone what I found today. I stopped by Foss JY in Jacksonville NC and found two Mavericks. They have one 2 door (73) and one 4 door (71). They both have tan interior and now the 2 door is missing its bucket seats....> I picked them up with the tracks for 30.00.

I am going to sleep very well tonight Sir...:tiphat:. I thought they were going to ask around a 100 for them. But when she said that will be 30+ tax I almost fell over.

I just wish everyone around here would stop crushing them. Most yards here do not have very many real cars left. I am going to try and make it back this week to get a few more parts from them. I will take some pics of the cars for everyone.

Wasn't there a member on here that made seat covers for them?

I'm not saying that my VW is a real car but,

Here is how bad it's getting. I have an '86 VW Golf diesel, that I use as my daily commuter. I needed a high pressure A/C condenser line for it. I called every salvage yard in a 30 mile radious of my house, which was 6 yards. None of them even had a VW of that era in them. It's getting pretty bad when you can hardly find mid '80s models in the salvage yards.

71& 72 Seats are like Mustang seats, different patterns, but the frame and foam is the same. 73 & 74 seats have the foam molded around the steel of the seat frame, they are thicker.
