Could they be the elusive and rare Maverick Marauder Wheels?

Rick ... that is a scan from a 73 sales brochure ... I have one so I knew it was a drawing ... I just never noticed it was drawn as a 4-lugger! :)

Well folks........I have good news......No I didn't save a bunch of money by switching to Geico, but the wheels DO fit. They look better than hubcaps, but are just fairly small. They gave me a full 2 inch drop. So I guess I can pop in when someone asks how do drop their Mav/Comet..........Switch to 13's!!!! ;) Preston

I've been looking all over for a set of those wheels for my '72 six-banger. Yes they did make a set of 14" slotted wheels for the Maverick. They appear to be quite rare as I've had no luck locating them. The ones I've found are either 5-lug or 13". Nice find Preston! Man, I'm jealous!!

I have a 71 that has a 4 lug 14 inch shelby aluminum wheels on it. I have had the wheels for about25years. front are 5or6 inch wide the rear are at least8inch wide. they look good on the mav

The wheels on that white Maverick appear to be aftermarket.
Preston, do the wheels that you bought have a painted inset border-pinstripe,
around the rim where it starts to slot?

Seth, they appear to just be aluminum. I can't find any paint on them. Preston
