My not be jetted right and accelerator pump may not be putting out enough squirt so you get to much air and it bogs or stalls. Is your accelerator pump adjustable? What did the carb come off of?

With the air cleaner off and the enging off look down the carb and pump the gas. You should see a nice little stream of gas squirting out. If that is not the problem I would check the timing.

I notice in your other post that you are using a '65 carburetor. If you're using a 67-up 200 distributor then you need to use a Loadomatic distributor. The early carburetor doesn’t feed enough vacuum to advance the later distributor. In other words, the carburetor has to match the distributor...mixed parts don't play together. Are you sure it's a '65 block and not a 64 block? Pre '64 200's had solid lifters and adjustable rockers and the block have four frost plugs located under the exhaust manifold. 1965 and later 200's have hydraulic lifters and non-adjustable rocker arms and five frost plugs. The hydraulic lifters are non-adjustable. The pushrod will need to be replaced with either longer or shorter pushrods. To adjust solid lifters see: http://falconfaq.dyndns.org/display...p_Manual_64&db=Falcon&table=FSM_64&Page=8-010 and http://falconfaq.dyndns.org/display...p_Manual_64&db=Falcon&table=FSM_64&Page=8-011

I was thinking the same thing. That is, a vacuum advance problem.
