when i set the base timing to anything 12 or higher the car likes to buck and skip at part throttle... the air/fuel stays right around 14.7 to 15.0 at part throttle when the skipping happens... but at 12 degrees at WOT the air fuel is around 12.9 and the engine turns up much quicker than with the base timing at 10 degrees which puts my wot airfuel to about 12.1

any ideas why this would happen? could changing heat range on plugs solve this problem?

FWIW...The 289 in my Falcon won't run too good at 10* base...8* is all it wants. Every engine has its own personality.
