Hey all, wondering if you could help me out here... my maverick is my first car. My parents are concerned about the lap belts and would like me to have the 3 point seat belt for safety reasons. My question is, where did you all purchase your seat belts at? I've heard of Juliano's Hot Rod seat belts but don't know what is best. Anyways, thanks for your help I appreciate it!!
Yup ... just yank that strap off thats hanging over your door and connect it to the buckle on the lap belt and you now have a 3-point belt .... Oh .. and tell your parents to chill out - they probably didn't even wear seat belts when they were your age!
IF yours are missing, there is probably a torx head bolt or a place for one above the quarter window post to mount a belt from another car. There are conversion kits for modernized shoulder belts. Do a google on seatbelts for Mustangs. I have seen them in Mustang & Fords magazine. Seth
I have them, but the owner before me actually replaced the 2 point lap belts, making the "3-point" factory ones incompatible. So I do have them, but they don't work.
Take a look at these. I dont know maybe there is a way... oh and I couldn't really find a seatbelt buckle that looked like mine in the picture you posted. Let me know what you think I could do with these--if its possible to get em to work, or if I just need to install new ones.
Look at your backseat buckels. Assuming the back are original, one of them should match one in Craig's pic, and then you know the ones you need for the front. -Corbin
Your front buckles are aftermarket it would appear. I do not have enough of the buckles and belts to match what you have in the back seat. What I can do is sell you a complete set of belts out of a Maverick....and you can either use it all...or just use parts of it. Email me directly if interested: Craig(a)MaverickCorral.com
