Wheelies look cool, no doubt about that, but usually putting a lot of air under the frontend hurts you with a couple of tenths on the big end and just depends on how hard you hit coming down................could spend time reseting the front end alignment or worse.
When I ran the 9.8 last year the car came up on the bars but not much more than 12" or so and settled down pretty quick.
Here is a picture of a nice Maverick that was set up by

Tough Maverick. My maverick runs consistant 10.5 @ 132 mph and picks the front wheels up about 2.5-3 feet for a good 25 feet long and then bounces. Its got a 4 link rear but was adjusted incorrectly. Love your car buddy.

Thanks Rocket. Just took the car out for a drive on the street for the first time. Went to get something to eat and people come out of the wood work. That was a kick. Now if I can keep my foot out of the gas.

    Very, Very Nice Car!
Was this a recent build or has it been a drag/street car most of its life.
Just wondering as my Maverick used to be an NHRA B/SM car back in the late 70's early 80's.

As far as I know it has been in it's present form about 9 years. To be honest this is the first ford I've owned. I'm the 3rd owner since this work was done.

    Thanks.
When you get time it would be great if you could take some pictures of the rear suspension and interior.

    Thanks,
    John
