Could be a freeze plug, I would check that first.

    Free fix?

The electric choke on the Quick Fuel carb comes off too fast. I know there are temp-sensitive switches that delay power to the elect choke till the intake warms up but they are expensive.

Tried something else today. Powered the choke thru the not-in-use resistor wire that previously went to the points distributor. Think that will slow it down a little.

heard back from comp cams on there recommendation for me..looked into the price and ordering it and then continued on outside where i pushed it out of the back yard and pushed and pushed until it was in the the middle of the road then continued to push until it was in the driveway where i washed, then threw a cover over it as it awaits the 9" swap and most likely will sit there until it's time to drop the motor in.

I started patching my fenders, welding, filler, sanding, priming to smoothness.

Had to reconstruct the rear bumper shell of a thing.
Alot of welding cutting and drilling,

Pulled the front seats and carpet to start floorboard repair. Floors weren't as bad as i had thought. I ordered front floor panels from CJ's and will have to get torque boxes on order.
