Compheads, I think I had a picture of your Maverick, saved for my screen saver, at one time. I didn't know you were from Australia. You do have pictures of your Maverick, on the bumper, don't you?

When you say compheads, what are your heads?:Handshake

Stroker maverick, I have only had my maverick for 3 months now. I imported from a guy who lives in the frisco area. He only raced it for a short while as the car was off the road in 2007. He may have had it on the rear bar?? I have seen a pic of a yellow mav on the forum on the rear bar but it ain't my car.

As for comp heads. I run a machine shop here in Melbourne called Cassar race engines. When I started I was only doing cylinder head work and worked under the name of comp heads. Since then I have expanded and do my own block work and crankshaft balancing.

Noticed your Maverick is left hand drive, I remember several years ago a disscusion on this site about a red Maverick that was right hand drive and the wipers worked different than ours, not in unison but tops met in the center, I thought it was from Australia but I may be mixed up! Where Mavericks sold new in Australia? Your car looks great!!!

Hi, we do not have the us version of the maverick. Our falcon is the closest to us styling. We have plenty of capris and cortinas, uk styling. In the late 80's we got a 4x4 badged as a maverick (Nissan patrol ford). With cars in Australia, we were put in a dark room and fed bull$+#£. That is why we import so much of the us muscle. America had automotive styling sorted better than anyone in the world.
