Oh, well I wasn't trying to be specific. I did say "around" 14.0-14.5.
I still say 15.0 is on the high side. I've had a volt meter on many of these cars and when working properly they have always cut off close to 14.5 volts. Just telling you based on my experience. I worked in an automotive electrical shop from 1973-1980. Was a long time ago but our Mavericks still operate the same.

Got the heads today. Off to the machine shop next week.

Anyone need a set of GT40P heads for $200.00?

We started putting in the new fuel lines and brake lines today on my sons 73 Grabber. Hopefully we will grease up the new wheel bearings for the front tomorow and get it set back on its wheels for the frist time in two years. What started out as just a brake swap and motor rebuild now has turned into a complete full blown restoration. Pictures posted is of the front end when we started stripping it and when it was primered. Will post more pictures tomorrow after we get the brake lines finished.

    Thanks
    Allen Small

Thanks Frank. We did the complete under carriage this way. Stripped all of the old paint, undercoating and rust off. Reprimed and painted everything. Only one trip to the hospital to get some rusty metal that got embedded in my eye even with wearing safety googles. Everything is repainted, complete new front suspension, new 9" with rear disk brakes, 3:50 posi unit and new rear springs. Getting a rebuilt 302 with AOD with a special made AOD cross member (Thanks again Frank!) which is already to drop in.
It has been a long road working on it. Especially trying to keep an 18 year old at home and working on it when he has discovered the opposite sex. The deal is I only work on it when he is there to help and learn. The first year was not to bad. Now it seems the opposite sex is more important at some times. I want it done and out fo the garage to make room for mine to come in a get done.

I pulled the maverick in the garage today and reinstalled my dash cap with some left over window urethane , replaced the cheap rusty parts store headlight rings with some not rusty junkyard ones , pollished the center caps, tightenned the oil pan bolts , installed a new shiny servo , ajusted the band , replaced a collector gasket, fixed the floppy mirror glass in the pass side sport mirror and ajusted the drivers door hinges. Me and the maverick had some real good bonding time today (y)
