ok my buddy called me up and ask if he can buy this maverick i think he told me it was a ok car the guy want 900 for it but it has no vin i told him not to but it what do you think
The car must have a VIN or it is scrap metal with a felony attached to it. If the VIN has been stripped from the car I suggest running away from it real fast. If it doesn't have a title - that is a different story. Titles can be obtained through most DMV's as a replacement to the owner listed or you can apply to your home state as a car without a title using a bill of sale. Ask your DMV office in your state for help on how to get a title for a classic car if non is provided. Every state is different on title laws.
I've had my fair share of similar situations just depends on the situation and who you are dealing with Sounds like a good parts car that will have to be made into small pieces lol
I bet he means it has no title, or he does not know were to find the vin, it probably has the vin either on the door if it is a 69 1/2 or door pillar or dash board, but for $900.00 it would have to have some good parts to make it worth the while.
srry me and him got to go look at it and i told him not to buy it i asked him he told us that the car has beed in a barn and i told my budy to not buy it so now he is on the look for a maverick and ew the rust
I'm still confused if there is no title or no VIN as Chris said in the first post. Also he said the car is from Oklahoma ............ Georgia is something like that, no title if over 35 years old.
well hear in the great state of Oklahoma we still must have one or in most cases all of the fallowing: a clear title bill of sell vin number and or a note from your mom sayin its cool for it to be cut up into a "parts car" LOL im just sayin be very very careful unlawful use of a motor vechiel can be very costly.
