    I did everything right and to my satisfaction. There is nothing I would do differently or more thoroughly regardless of budget.

    Hahahaha! Yeah right! I have a feeling even Thom Hackman couldn't say that baloney with a straight face!

    I finally get to use this! :bs:

    :rofl2::biglaugh::rofl2:

    ...As for me, biggest thing I can think of, I should have finished the trunk project when I started it, or just not started it. I put down a bunch of Peel-N-Seal with intent to go back over it with black vinyl, but left it alone instead. Now two years later the Peel-N-Seal has demonstrated itself to be a horrible trunk surface and I've got a big mess to clean up before I can put down any covering.

    I guess if I wouldn't do anything different, I didn't learn anything.:rolleyes:

    Gotta hand it to the OP for wanting to learn from other's mistakes. :Handshake

    I saw this coming when I did my P&S. I stopped at the trunk when I did the floor pan. When I get the vinyl I will finish with the P&S. I have done very few things that I have gone back and do again but I'm trying to keep this a driving project with minimum down time. I accept that some times in this hobby its 2 steps forward and one step back when you’re on a budget. When I restored my steering column I didn’t replace the turn signal switch that had a broken cam. A few months later I got a new replacement switch far less than half price. I didn’t mind going back to replace the switch to save $50

    so far i am in the middle of my build. Originally I thought I was just going to paint, then I thought about it and sent the entire car off to sand blast. The car has been down for 6 months the last three have been winter and I work a ton so it worked out.

    Currently the ONLY thing I wish I did different on my body work was the proper welding of the marker light deletes. I did it in a hurry and un-experienced. So i MAY go back and cut them out and PAY someone to do them professionally then re-bondo & re primer prior to paint. I also need to delete the antenna hole. But so far Ive had the mentality that I am going to do it right the first time. Not going to settle for less. I dont want a nice car put together wrong. I want everything to be top notch, best of my ability and a huge learning project for myself. So far I am happy :)

    Also contimplating on doing a roll cage similar to another member on here before I wrap up the interior. Im about 40% done with interior. 60% done with body work, and 0% done on under body/power plant.

    Well I guess if you and Frank are both happy with your current configuration, then the answer to "would you go back and change..." is really is no, since you already did, radically, over and over. :D

    I have spent unknown wasted hours and dollars messing with stuff around those shock towers, making things fit, routing things around them, etc.

    I have pretty much stopped all work on my car at this time until I can afford to do that and finish the rest out without so much hassle.

    The ONLY thing I regret in my 28 years of owning my green car is cutting and folding up the rear fender lips when I was 19 years old and just had to get those wide Cragars on there. :naughty: I am happy with everything else I have ever done to the car.
