Does anyone know which gas tanks will fit in our cars to convert from a rear filler neck to a side filler neck? Or could a gas tank repair shop move the filler neck hole. I would just turn mine sideways, but that could make the car heavier on one side wouldnt it?

Couldnt you just turn the filler neck 90 degrees to point towards the side instead of the back? Then run a 2" or so fuel tank filler hose to the new location as long as its higher then the filler neck.

Come to think of it, my 57 wagon was done that way. I still have some 57 plumbing around. Thanks Ryan.
