I just haven't done anything to it in three years.

I have a boat, and a new house, and spend all my time and money on those, and the maverick just sits in the garage and never gets driven or worked on.

I have about $6000 into it, and I know I will never get anything near that out of it, especially with this custom paint job...:biglaugh:

Talk me out of it, or suggest how I can get the best buck for it.

Have it painted, you may want to drive it more then or you could get more money for it, for me it's the opposite on the boat, it's like new and I've used it twice since so it's time to let it go, I just know I could never get out what I have in it.

It's a crappy time to sell an old car. The economy is still in the dumps and not as many folks have the money to buy a toy. You'll never get your money out of it and you'll be pissed forever if you sell it at a loss. It doesn't cost much to just keep it in the garage and wait for better times.

There, how's that for talking you out of it?

    Good start...but not convinced.

    Keep it coming.

Here is my boat...first meal on it, our first time out.

Done a lot to it since. New carpet, added a custom bimini top. Lots of wakeboarding.

Sounds like you’ve found a new interest and hobby perhaps one the family can partake in more so than the Maverick. Sell the Maverick but you may hate yourself the next morning after it's gone. There's nothing wrong thinking about selling it, I think about selling mine all the time.

Put a hitch on it and use it to tow your boat.:D

Costs nothing for it and you to wait. Some day ya'll will reunite and it will be happy times once again.

Not you too man! Come on! Boats! Bah. Money pits! Bring Out Another Thousand. Don't get me wrong, I love boating! In someone else's boat! You can't go out on that boat in the winter, (well you could, but why?) you've got to haul it to the water, pay a launch fee, launch the thing and then either trust somebody else to drive your boat for a minute or trust somebody else to back up your truck with a trailer on it... You're already hours into it by this point and you haven't even started!

The Maverick... Get in, turn the key, hit the gas and grin like a fool. Year round, all day, any day, technically you don't even need to put pants on although you should.

My hobbies get re-cycled, yours might too. When the Maverick came along the boat wasn't being used anymore. Would have kept the boat for the next cycle but its space was needed for the Maverick. If you have space to store it, keep the Maverick or you'll probably regret selling it. If you need the space, sell it.

That's all he had left by the time he got to the water! Sweet old Della's car (God rest her soul) would never have done that to him!

And I sure hope they don't have an Internet connection in Heaven... To think she might be reading this! For shame! :naughty:
