would you trad a 88 mustang lx 5.0 5 spped that has its problems. needs new heads or new motor for 1600. and the trans needs gone through painted and needs tires and interior work. so would you trade it for a factory 1973 grabber 302 4 speed no problems other than the speedo dosent work. and has 1 small dent below the driver door. the motor is a flat tappit 302 with windsor heads edelbrock intake and holley carb. and its a 69 to 73 mexican block. trans is a borg warner t10 4 speed true posi traction with 3 10 gears. he wants the mustang and 2500 do you think its worth it.

Yes, but you will have to do something about that grabber hood - 1 scoop or the other looks great, but not on the same hood ............. :burnout:

All day long. I like the maverick but lose the mustang hood scoop and the white stripes.

Fox Bodies sell for more out here than mavericks. That should be a straight trade and no $2500 extra.

The maverick looks to have it's own share of problems, aesthetic wise :D

You must have thought you were posting this in the fox body forums. You will get no support here for the mustang. :)

I would either trade straight across or offer him 1600 for that foxbody.. In my part of California, you could probably turn around and sell that mustang for 3k.. People think foxbodys are made of gold or something.

    Yup :D

Heck even bare shells sell for $2500, a beat up Fox with a V8 easily fetches 3-5K.

The weird part is that SN95 ones are dirt cheap, even the 05 ones are starting to pop up at 3,500-5K.
Yet these 30 year old Foxes sell for outrages numbers.

I had no idea. I thought apples to apples they were comprable. All being the same, i would definitely rather have a Mav.
