Craig (Or anyone in the know.) why did they mount the grill badge on that red/orange mounting? It just doesn't look quite right.....

:thumbs2: I got lucky and found the Grill and trunk at a junk yard and I left them all on fender and dash.

It comes from the 1970 sales brochure. It is supposed to look like a red hot branding iron.

I have no emblems on my car. I kicked around the idea of putting the trunk emblems on the fenders since they were lick and sticks and I have 4 NOS ones. I had the holes filled in and want them to stay that way. Would yours be stick on or will they have the pins molded in to be mounted back into holes?

Putting on the emblems saves people from scratching :hmmm: their heads and asking the name of your car although they may still ask who makes it.:thumbs2:

They are very close, but there are differences between the fender and c-pillar emblems. I'll post another thread comparing the two. (y)

I remember trying to swap the pillar emblems to my fenders on the 76 I did a small bumper conv. on years ago. They looked different so I just filled the holes. No emblems on the outside....the gas cap was the one that read "Maverick".

My 70 that I'm working on now will have all of the stock emblems in place.
