Sent my car to sandblast and came back and it looked great!

Once I started doing body work I noticed my panels where warped. I had to skim coat the entire car! Very pissed. I should have paid the extra money to have it soda blasted!

    Lesson learned!!

took out the old 8" and removed shocks..started to take out the E-brake...continued on with putting the 9" together and realized i needed to shim the gears more! so pulled it all apart again and now just waiting for U-bolts to arrive..and will be blasting the shock mounting plates tomorrow.

My Dad and I figured this out the hard way too. If you are doing your own blasting, it can be prevented even with silica or semi-harsh abrasives by moving back from the surface and not concentrating in one spot in the middle of panels, but if someone does it for you, they just pound it until they get to metal.:thumbs2:

Got the fenders back on!! Now to get the bumpers coated... with something cheaper than chrome.

Continued working on the roof. I removed both driver and passenger side rain rails for a flush match, still waiting on a shipment of steel to weld it all together and hopefully rid the car of this horrible leaking roof. Can't wait to get rid of the leaks so i can begin the interior stripping and prepping.
