Mine are installed for LOOKS ONLY!! I have no idea if I have them installed for "performance" or not.

No offense. I don't use them, I have caltracs. I was just pointing the guy toward what he was asking for. I used universals in the past, no-name autozone ones. They worked better than nothing. Not nearly as good as the caltracs.
I "modified" mine by cutting the square piece at angles on both sides. It cut a groove into the side of my tire. Kept me from hanging my shirt up on it when I slid under the car, also.
