Is there any problems im going to have as far as getting everything hooked up? And im putting the 250 in the 73... Hope that this is not too confusing

The 250 will have an entirely different distributor (duraspark II) then the 302, and you'll need a Electronic control module for the electronic ignition setup, I'm not sure where everything ties in without looking at a diagram, & vacuum advance canister on the distributor will also run to the carburetor.

You will have to use the Duraspark II box that is on the 76 and wire it into the ignition circuit of the 73 that you are putting it in, not a big issue you just need all the connectors that are on the 76 and the box.

There is a wirng diagram that shows what you need to do as far as hooking up the wires, I will see if I can find a link for you before rthomas771 posts it :)

I cheated I used his instructions

Or, it IS a step back-wards, but you could get a point distributor for the 250 from Autozone, or junkyard....

No, in the engine compartment. If you look at the diagram look at the red and white wires marked s and r, the r wire should run to the coil of the 302 that wire will have to be used and hooked to the 2 pin connector of the duraspark, the white wire does not have to be hooked up but should be and it will have to go to the starter solenoid.

This is not as hard as it appears just make sure you take all the stuff from the duraspark car and read the direction from the link
