nothing like getting a project started. I just dropped off my car about a week ago to the shop to get ready for an engine/tranny swap. got some parts in and engines out of cars. now getting ready to have the 92 5.0 engine with efi swaed in and the 5 speed tranny. let me know what you think. i have seen and read articles and post in the forum that are very helpfull.
that will make a very nice driving car. you will need to do a custom shock tower brace as it will interfear with the efi intake. adding a high pressure fuel pump, fuel line and return line takes a little bit of custom work. some wireing and you should be good.
Ok I need to check the forum for efi swaps. Thanks for the info pics will be up once I post more I guess.
The towers don't need any mods, unless you use a EFI intake which interferes with them. But most don't. What Bryant was talking about were the shock tower braces(the metal brackets that go from the towers to the cowl area), these are some that Rick made for an EFI 5.0L :
The stock EFI upper intake will still interfere with the shock tower braces. You will also need to run a '95 or later upper intake that is curved, as the earlier straight ones will not allow you enough room to mount your MAS or air box.
