I just bought a 98T/A with the LS and 6 spd. I now know why you guys like this motor. Car has 4.10s, has awesome excelleration and only turns 2k at 70mph. I can just imagine what the LS does in a Mav, which is probably 800 lbs. lighter than the T/A. That being said, I still am a believer of keeping Ford engines in Ford cars, but, if I had enough money, it would be a big block in the Mav instead of the small block. Just wanted to say that I understand why some are choosing to build their Mavs/Comets their way and why you are using the LS motors:tiphat:

I was wondering about a turbo on these motors, does it "spool up" linear, or is it like some of the other turbo motors and it's either on or off. The few turbos I have driven, just come on like gang busters at a certain rpm.

A properly sized turbo will be pretty linear

I run a 3k stall and have full boost when the converter flashes.

Just trying to develop a long term "wish list", with that said, running a 6spd would I be better off with a blower versus the turbo? I'm just thinking that every time I shift, the boost would drop considerably, or am I thinking wrong?

thats what the blow off valve is for. if you lift on the throttle while shifting the bov will open dumping the boost to keep it from stopping the turbo.
