I have seen many of these kits built off of ebay for civics and other imports and I highly doubt them being bad. But remeber just like every thing else... you get what you pay for. So if you do it be prepared to buy a new turbo before you would normally replace them and so and so forth. I plan on an engine swap to a bigger straight 6 and stroking it with a turbo on my 70 mav.

First off you get what you pay for now days

And that "kit" has about half of what is needed to actually get it going turbo kits are not cheap to build even with cheap parts the fox im turbo'ing now for a customer is a super budget build but parts alone stack up fast and he supplied a set of headers.

Id be more nervous of hardware failure other than the turbo. What if the wastegate fails to relieve pressure?etc... I would think along those lines if it was my decision.
Like said you simply get what you paid for.

the ebay stuff isnt bad more so when you stay 15psi and under like us v8 guys do...but if you plan to run 24psi or w/er through them better buy the garrent equivelend rebuild kit for it...then only thing thats chinese about the turbo is the housing..

if you want a good middle in price and quality look into the brazlilian turbos aka masterpower

and thats what a boost gauge is for lol..if wastegate wasnt working right you'll now from boost gauge

I have all chinese turbo parts on my 72 buick ,everything is all good, but i do plan to changeout the wastegates and bov with turbosmart

..as foir the turbos i'll keep sticking with the chinese...soo damn cheap...i can buy close to 10 till i get to the price of a garret usa turbo..and like i said the chinese turbos are sooo closlesy cloned to the garret versions your able to use the garret rebuild kits in them!

ps the most expensive part to a turbo setup is the fuel system...which you should never skimp on

what i have for the skylark is a electronic fuelab regulator (signals a pwn to the fuel pump when extra fuel is needed)
    fuelab efi prodigy pump

i also have fuel surge canister and a ac delco fuel pump to feed the surge casnister to keep big pump from sucking air.

if your saying carb you could do the same thing but use your stock mechanical pump to feed the surge canister

no sump needed to be welded onto tank with this setup

if you really are considering the chinese ebay setup might as well piece one together yourself instead of buying from THAT AD

Precision has entry level turbos staring at 600 with warranty, that's only 4 chines turbos :D but the precision will walk all over it in every single aspect.

The MP's you mentioned are even cheaper, it makes no sense going with a knock off. Even if it been rebuilt with Garrett parts.
