trans fluid capicity

    Want to change fluid & filter in a c-4 automatic how much fluid will it take ?

    This answers a day late but...
    Torque convertor holds 4 quarts, the whole system holds 10 quarts. I would drain the transmission, add 3 quarts and start the car and keep adding and checking from there.

    just so you know, 14 litres is way too much and makes a mess on my shop floor. I don't want to talk about it.
