Need a quicky fix for raising front suspension

    Yep, Shaw AFB in South Carolina. Psyched for year round driving and for having sun longer than a few days not being a freak occurrence.

    This would be the winning idea had I not already dismantled all my welding stuff and emptied the tank. Think I'm gonna go with the "knucklebusters"

    How about a variation on Joe's idea--take the shocks off and replace with a piece of threaded rod. With the front tires hanging while the body is supported by a jack, put the threaded rod in the shocks place, with a nut on top to set the height with the stock shock tower. You might need a small plate on the bottom to bolt it to the lower shock mount. It could also bolt to the threaded rod. The bottom of a stock shock would give you the dimensions for the bolt holes. You could whip a plate out with just a drill and a couple of bits in just a few minutes. Plate could be steel or aluminum , I'd use about a 1/2" or larger steel threaded rod.
