The Caprice lights are definately the best looking light other than the stock ones

I prefer Maverick/Comet Tail lights. Hacking the rear end for another Cars taillights has alaways seemed Tacky to me! You don't see people changing taillights in a 70 Cuda or a 69 Camaro! be Proud of it being a Maverick! My two cents ;)

I've always been kind of partial to Brazilian Maverick taillights.

I partially agree with what you said, i try to mantain my maverick as original as possible and ALL Ford. that been said, i do like the bobcat tail lights a LOT! I think they should have been on mavericks stock.

Shelby changed the mustang's tail lights and put thunderbird ones instead, i think they were a good choice, and I don't think there were many complaints about that, he kept the car a Ford.

Using other brand's parts feels a little like staining the car to me, of course that's just my point of view and i could be wrong. :drive:

Well, since I have family in Brazil, I've asked a cousin to look around and see if any tail lights are available.

I like the factory taillights...but I've wondered about the later Pinto lamps. Remind me a little of the ones above.

i find the stock the best looking, especially if their painted the same as the back deck. i dont much like the chrome on black, i guess thats why the original owner painted mine

Assuming your car is a Grabber and not a clone, they were black anodized from the factory.

I got a set of the later Pinto lamps today for $5 on ebay. I may not use them but I want to see what they look like.

How thick are these compared to the original Mavericks? I guess that my problem with the original lights is that they're so thin and small compared to the area of the rear end. Or maybe I've been tainted with modern taillights. I feel that how she looks in the rear is important as that's what we see most when driving down the road.
