Hi, I'm 16 and bought a 1969 ford maverick 2 door, in Line 6 170ci, "grabber" hood and pin stripes. Grabber blue and gold stripes. I plan on restoring.

Can anyone give me extra info on it.

The best advice to you I can give before you start, is read - read - then read some more ........ there are 1000's of threads here covering every possible problem with these cars. Learn to use the search function, it will be your friend. I also strongly suggest spending a couple bucks and buying the actual FORD shop manuals for your car. They can be found on ebay. It may seem like $70 is a lot for some books but you will save 10 times that in knowing how to correctly repair a specific problem the right way.

Once you have some specific questions about your project, post them in the correct forum (pictures always are a plus) and you will get lots of help here.

Well, they really are all model year 1970's - only we, in the hobby, coined the term 69.5's, as they are very different cars from the later models. ;)

As for pictures, below the post box is a "manage attachments' - where you can upload directly to your post. The gallery will not work for you yet until you have more post count.

You also can post the link to any pictures you already have stored online someplace. Use the little box with the mountain and the sun in the toolbar to post the linked picture.

My car is a 69.5, and there are quite a few. If your ignition key is on the dash, then you have a 69.5. Welcome, glad to have you with us.

Welcome from another owner of a 69.5 (two in fact). Everyone knows that 69.5 is the far superior and most desirable model. Technically speaking though if you look at the VIN its a 70 model (first digit is a "0"). But nobody else with a 70 model has the cool ignition pod on their dash tray.
