Headers

When I took the 302 out of the 74 Mav, the left side header was modified (beat to hell) to accommodate the power steering assembly.

Question, is there a header that one can use where modification would not be necessary? Or should I pursue stock exhaust manifolds?

is anything easy?

 

There's a drop down bracket that is required when using long tubes on a PS equipped car.

by left do you mean drivers side or passenger side? The bracket goes on the drivers side.

 

Drivers side, the bracket is there. Maybe installed wrong?

 

Can you post a picture of it?

Those pictures are from a mustang, but they pretty much look like our cars.

 

Someone on here said Hooker Headers fit best, part #6901 I think but yes need drop bracket.

 

yep, stock bracket is what I have. however, yours seems to be mounted higher on the frame. I'll take a look when I get it out of the trailer. Thanks for the help. Mark

 

Maverick 75, what headers you have installed on yours? Looks like there is a lot of clearance from the power steering arm assy.

 

Those pictures aren't mine, I got them from a mustang forum just to show how they look.

 

Hmmm. maybe that is why there seems to be more clearance. Do you have P/S on yours? Clearance?
