Auto floorshifter

    I took the chrome cover on the floor shifter of 72 comet off for cleaning. The part number reads C9Z etc. Are the floor shifters the same as the 69 70 mustangs or has this one been changed?

    Right on both counts ....

    Mav/Comet/Mustang/Cougar shifters have extra width on the right side of the shifter stalk, that the Pinto/Mustang II do not.

    I believe the bezel will be the same for M/Cs 71-73 also.
