Exactly! I truly believe that 4 doors (I already see more and more at shows) of the past are going to become somewhat acceptable as “customs” or “hot rides” for a number of reasons: Ÿ Younger generation accepting them. Ÿ Two doors getting harder to find. Ÿ Older cars (aging today cars) will be four doors. Who knows maybe: Ÿ wearing “white socks” will become “cool” Ÿ Socks and sandals will be “in” Ÿ Bandades (right in the center) to repair your eye glasses will be “hot”. Times they are a-changing.
Again, great looking car. Now come on, tell me "shaving" those rear door handles and putting in a set of "poppers" wouldn't make that ride look just a little bit more "cool"...come on now....
no bids on this one: https://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDet...=10&start=1&refine=&nc=1333208501049#topoflot
Amen If I had a 4 door it would probably end up looking similar to this...minus the yellow headlights..
Cool. Well, I just left the seller of the four door I was considering and at this point we just can't make a deal....who knows. Seller is a friend, he is a true "wrench head" and is working on a couple of Camaros and a 64 Chev. wagon, some big ticket cars and as the work goes on so does the need for some cash....so it's a waiting game at this point and he may accept my offer.....oh well, the look, search is as fun as the purchase.
I was going to say no to 4 doors then i saw that black brazilian mav! Now i'm considering one myself! just kidding
Now THIS captures my interest. Install a roof rack and I'd be very tempted to buy! Although I would not desire the Maverick sedan, I'm not opposed to four-door vehicles; I own a 2001 four-door Jeep Cherokee, not listed...
I think one of each is a good idea! I had one of each in 1983. I drove the 4 door daily. It was a green '74 250 auto. It was a great car. Many people wanted to know why I had two Mavericks! You know, most of new cars today are 4 doors. I wish they would have made a convertible.
Hey...I haven't posted anything in months...but I've enjoyed my "77 Mav" (profile pic) all summer. A few 300 plus mile runs and car shows (multiple) all summer long. Well, as I usually do, I enjoyed the Mav and then received a great offer at a local show...so she's gone. Sold her and also took in a "partial trade"....1986 Pontiac Fiero...should be a fun winter project. But wait...I'm not out of the Mavericks. I picked up a car most of you know. Long story, but I seen this car a few years back when I was working on a 74 Comet...tracked down some parts and drove from Ohio to WV to pick them up. Thats when I seen "The Maverick Connections" (Chucks') Maverick. She's a "4 Door" but a beauty, 302 "Interceptor". Just picked her up today from a friend of mine who brought her home from Chuck about a year ago. I made him an offer and he accepted. So, as soon as I get some pics I will change my "Profile Pic". Good to be back.
Thats it, "Chucks" Police Interceptor"....I met Chuck a few years back (looking for Comet parts), seen his Maverick, loved it but found another (couple). As I said, the friend of mine who first went to WV with me ended up buying it, he was into other cars...not sure why he picked it up....then I ended up with it. I love it. Anyway, that her. Hey, where's the pic from...the "Power Tour"?
