My buddy's dad has an all original Maverick, not sure what year, but it has headlight lenses that have thin black grid lines (usually theres no lines). These look way meaner and I want them! Trouble is, he says it was a dealership option and I can't find any anywhere I've looked. Any ideas how I can get some, or any other information you might know? Thanks!
You can buy 7" headlight stone guards (screens)... but I don't know if those will fit with the headlight trim ring. Or maybe he is referring to tri-bars?
ive seen black out headlights in jc whitney. they had a a black grid behind the lens that when looked at an angle looked blacked out but from straight ahead looked clear. check jc whitney to see if thats what your looking for..
You can see in this picture the lenses are gridded as usual, but the grid lines are painted black or something. Any ideas where I can get these or how I should recreate them?
Those are just stone guards like merc73 said but they are painted black you see them on jeeps all the time they are pretty cheap Here is a 5" one on a mini cooper (ironically I have those same style headlights on my car, they have a light up ring around them you know the halo lights..)
You can get them on ebay pretty cheap you just need to verify the diamater of the headlights i believe it is 7 inches (I cant remember what they are right now) http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHROME-ston...Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a1ba29882&vxp=mtr here is one but there are allot of them on ebay some cheaper some more expensive just look up stone guard 7" there are a couple hundred matches for that phrase or Headlight stone guard.. that one might be easier
